Alexis Wright

Alexis Wright is a member of the Waanyi nation of the Gulf of Carpentaria and the author of the prize-winning novels Carpentaria and The Swan Book.

Awards for Carpentaria included the Miles Franklin Award, the Queensland Premier’s Literary Fiction Award, the 2007 ALS Gold Medal and the Vance Palmer Prize for Fiction.

Her most recent book, Tracker, a collective memoir of ‘Tracker’ Tilmouth, was awarded the 2018 Stella Prize.

Alexis Wright holds the Boisbouvier Chair in Australian Literature in the Australia Centre at the University of Melbourne.
