Michelle de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka and lives in Sydney.

She is the author of five novels.

Her most recent novel The Life to Come was shortlisted for the 2018 Stella Prize and won the 2018 Miles Franklin Literary Award.

Her previous novel, Questions of Travel, also won the Miles Franklin Award.

Michelle de Kretser’s fiction is published across the world and has won numerous awards.

Michelle will be leading the workshop, The Art of the Sentence.
