James O'Hanlon
James O'Hanlon is a research scientist turned author, illustrator and freelance creative. James draws from his background to create art and stories that explore themes of exploration, discovery, and embracing the unknown. As well as writing popular science books he has written and illustrated a number of children's books and his public art installations can be found across regional New South Wales from Forbes to Boggrabri.
He has written for BBC Wildlife Magazine, ABC News, Australian Geographic, the Guardian and the Sydney Morning Herald. These days he lives with his family in the New England region of New South Wales and one day hopes to join a band, make a video game, and do a bunch of other stuff he definitely doesn't have time for. He is the author of Silk & Venom and Liars, cheats and copycats.
