Join the Arts Law Centre of Australia (Arts Law) for this workshop focused on practical tips for writers wishing to avoid scandals or other legal pitfalls.
If you're not familiar with Arts Law's services for all writers (and indeed, artists of all descriptions), you will learn all about how we can continue to support your writing practice through the law. And, you'll hear about how to avoid being accused of using someone else’s work, and what to do if you are. We cover copyright, moral rights (and other kinds of intellectual property and 'quasi'-IP), contracts and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) and encourage you to bring your burning questions.
Join Chloe Hillary (a lawyer at TCJ and pro bono contributor to Arts Law, reader and writer) and Dr Louise Buckingham (Arts Law CEO, lawyer, academic and reader) as they tackle these issues in a practical and easy-to-understand way.
This workshop is presented in partnership with Arts Law
