Life is strange and sometimes inexplicable so why do we tend towards clichés? What prevents us from straying towards the strange? And how can we use play to generate surprise and satisfaction for ourselves and our readers?
Join award-winning author for both adults and children, Johanna Bell, for a fast-paced writing workshop that embraces the odd and provides both emerging and established fiction and creative non-fiction writers with practical ways to inject novelty and play into your writing.
Johanna Bell lives in Nipaluna (Hobart) where she writes fiction, poetry and children's books. Her work is widely published and she has won a string of awards, including a Tasmanian Literary Award for her recent novel Department of the Vanishing.
You can purchase a single ticket to this workshop (see below), or if you wish to attend more than one workshop across the Festival weekend, you can purchase a Workshop Pass.
