One Wish at a Time: Richard Glover in Conversation with Amy Sambrooke

  • Blue Mountains Cultural Centre 30 Parke Street Katoomba, NSW, 2780 Australia (map)

Australia’s much-loved journalist and broadcaster Richard Glover ponders life’s big questions with Amy Sambrooke and helps us celebrate the simple joys of bin night, tax receipts that don’t fade and the secret thrill of high-pressure hosing. His latest book, Best Wishes, is a plea for a better world – one wish at a time.

Richard Glover is the bestselling author of The Land Before Avocado and Flesh Wounds, the latter of which won the Readers’ Choice for Biography of the Year in the 2016 ABIA Awards. A leading presenter on ABC Radio Sydney, Richard writes a weekly humour column for the Sydney Morning Herald and writes regularly for The Washington Post and London’s Evening Standard.

Amy Sambrooke is the Artistic Director (joint) of the 2023 Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival. Amy was the Creative Director of Varuna the National Writers' House from 2017 - 2023, and was the founding Creative Director of the Blue Mountains Writers' Festival. Amy has worked across public policy, media and the arts.

This event is proudly sponsored by Out of the Blue, The Local Guide to the Blue Mountains.
