Suitable for writers of all levels, this workshop with Stella Prize shortlisted author Katia Ariel will help your writing shine, regardless of genre or length. Whether you are working on life story or fiction, we will focus on finding the pulse of your piece and holding your reader's attention from the opening line to the final image. Through prompts, examples and structured exercises, you will practise bringing the best of your story to the fore.
Katia Ariel was born in Odessa, Ukraine. Her memoir, The Swift Dark Tide, was shortlisted for the Stella Prize in 2024 and won the 2024 Society of Women Writers NSW Non-fiction Prize. Her second book, Ferryman: The Life and Deathwork of Ephraim Finch, was published by Wild Dingo Press last year.
