As the director of Sweatshop Literacy Movement, Mohammed mentors countless young writers as they craft their deeply personal stories. In his latest novel, he demonstrates the literary craft and emotional honesty required for such a position, resulting in a work that is “layered and politically attuned, attentive to the intersections of race, class, gender and power”. Benjamin Law is the author of The Family Law, Gaysia, the Quarterly Essay Moral Panic and editor of Growing Up Queer in Australia. He is also an AWGIE Award-winning screenwriter and playwright behind the Netflix comedy-drama Wellmania, Melbourne Theatre Company's Torch the Place and Dying: A Memoir, and the award-winning series The Family Law.
