Be among the first to hear about Australian icon Bryan Brown’s newest thriller, The Hidden, in conversation with fellow actor and newly minted crime writer, Toby Schmitz.
With a decades-long stage and screen career under his belt, Bryan’s first novel The Drowning was an instant bestseller, acclaimed for its singular voice and gripping tension. In The Hidden, he returns to the coast, where a quiet town is disturbed by a shipment of coke, a crime squad investigation, a drug overdose and a few roosters buried in the forest!
Lift the lid on what makes Bryan tick, how he discovered his voice as a writer, and what makes Australian crime fiction not just distinct, but so damn popular.
Bryan Brown is best known as an actor, having appeared in over 80 film and television shows. Sweet Jimmy, consisting of seven short stories on crime, was released in 2021. Bryan has since published two more books, The Drowning and The Heads.
